More About me
I am an individual born into engineering, raised in manufacturing and matured through business intelligence development. My depth of experienced is balanced with broad industry exposure and the ability to communicate effectively across organizational structures. I began my career in building automation and quickly transferred into manufacturing automation at Eastman Kodak helpeding integrate a new ERP system (SAP) and data historian into an existing plant floor architecture with varying types of automation controllers using a new Ethernet backbone. This experience led me into my current position as a Senior IOT Solutions Architect where I fosters key industry partnerships while leading the conception, design, development and implementation of IOT solutions for manufacturing. Extending the value of customer’s existing IT investments has been a common goal across all of my initiatives.
Extensive experience engineering & supporting automation and manufacturing execution systems is illustrated through my ability to jump from intensive project management and/or development environments to production support is highlighted by consistent, effective communications with team members, management, vendors and end-users. A thorough understanding of automation systems development methodology has been critical for defining requirements and scope of work for both team members and outside vendors while procuring bids and managing work execution for such parties. My aptitude for developing creative alternatives to changing automation system needs has been a fitting compliment to a positive, detail-oriented work ethic committed to delivering quality, robust work.
When days are short and the air crisp, I spend most of my free time skiing throughout Washington, Colorado and North America. Once the shadows get shorter and the days longer I spend more of my discretionary time on one of my three bicycles, sailing the Puget Sound and volunteering weekly for Invest In Youth at Roxhill Elementary school in West Seattle.
My passion for cooking was most likely seeded from a genetic predisposition: my mother has always been a fantastic cook and my uncle from the same familial half is a professor of food science at Cornell University. Cooking both enriches my life and provides a broad avenue to unwind, catch-up and simply enjoy the company of family and friends.
